It’s incredible to see how women in this world are putting efforts to maintain world peace. Alina Hameed is 20-year-old social worker; who is the only youngest female in Pakistan to won Diana Award. She is founder of Aasra Foundation and have been working on many great projects to help everyone in this world. Aasra foundation is working in many different
directions including rights of transgender, women empowerment and hygiene, rights of minorities, awareness about mental health, old age home and orphanage. While conversing with Alina, she explained her one of known project of gender equality where she sees the fight for transgender to work in society, where she provided them with some small business for their survival, Second project was to learn about women hygiene, where Aasra foundation provide some towns sanitary napkins and take seminars on its importance, third project is about self-confidence where one of the member from Aasra Foundation help people to fight against mental health in many institutions and schools. Looking to importance of education today, Alina is also founder of little steps by Aasra, where she is serving free education to many kids which is very important. She’s also helping many people today in this pandemic situation by providing them with ration bags in many different towns, villages and cities; which influenced many people to work with their foundation. Even being a self-dependent leader, Alina never give up on spreading happiness, she is example for many young people to be like her and do something for the world. She has really made strong balance pursuing education and also looking towards her NGO in this young age. This is what we call girl power.
