We see lot many farmer cases today even after providing so many schemes which they fail
to intake, then where do farmers actually be less in number today? It is said today in this modern era marketing and pitching skills are most important to get into any business. Some farming family still consider farming as a job than a business and fail to achieve the goals. Today market have a big competition and so in trust of customers. Having a brief discussion with very known entrepreneur and best book selling author who also experienced a bit of organic farming Mr. Ankush Pare explained how marketing skills develop the growth in family business. I wanted to know why do today also farmer don’t grow up in their expectation and even after many relief schemes provided by our government they still cant reach out, Mr. Ankush explained that some farmers in India are not by choice farmer, as how a farmer’s kid look upto his father and is trained in future to do the same work. They actually don’t get much exposure even in marketing area if they follow the same steps as of their father.
So I have seen lot many kids when I surveyed in some villages and I did notice they mostly learn till high school maybe due to less exposure or family poverty or pressure or any kind of thing happening around so what can we bring in notice for them? Mr. Ankush explained me that in India farmer knows farming,not selling! And when his kid goes for studying he/she needs money for accommodation, tuitions and other such facilities so many children might even back off. If we could little change the concept of a farmer for farming and the kid today can take lot many advantage of social media and help his farmer father to do marketing on social media so it could help them to think more about business with getting trust worthy customers for lifetime. But if we lookout today its only farmer who is like one man army doing everything by himself and his kids are just watching him working. As of everyone knows marketing is important today to sell any product or anything and many farmers don’t have such skills so how could they work further? He explained me that there are some who do farming ,selling and distribution they have teams divided for this but they ain’t connected together and so is farmers knowledge is very old fashioned for him to know this. Many great known farmer specialist talks about organic farming as today people are very health conscious. So as a farmer they should do organic farming and target such audience in manner who are very health protective.
There are many farmer suicidal cases today maybe because of no family support as one man works for whole family. Mr.Ankush explained that if a farmer sees farming as business today he might reach at peak i.e; his wife could be financial manager, son can look after marketing or sales and that’s how he can build a chain of farming and then the farmer can have less burden in his life and he can explore the other parts of area and his work will be easier, he will be able to finish the tasks on time.
There are lot many ways a farmer can grow his business into and one of the important skills he could take advantage today is of marketing so he could improve his lifestyle and people’s demand too. My conversation with Ankush Sir was way more learning and interesting.
